ECI Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

Elkhart, IN - Electronic Commerce, Inc. ECI is one of the select Michiana-based service bureaus to offer an SAS 70 Type II audit to its clients.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SAS (Statement on Auditing Standards) 70 is the standard used to report on a service organization’s internal controls and procedures. The audit was performed by Crowe Chizek and Company LLC.

The SAS 70 report on controls was for the period October 1, 2004, through November 30, 2005. The audit examined software implementation, maintenance, documentation, computer operations, system software and hardware, online security, physical security, backup and recovery procedures and e-business policies and procedures.
