Rapid Implementation Management

ECI's Implementation Management (IM) process is the first value-added step into your relationship with ECI's Major Market Services. Each aspect of ECI's IM services will allow you to rethink what you expect from a Payroll/HRMS provider. Our approach is unique in the sense that we are not simply converting data. Our implementations also address the following:

People. Rather than following an implementation path that leads toward detached service and support centers with dial-by-number functionality, ECI invests in individual relationships that lead to long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. We allow our clients to meet their implementation personnel during our pre-implementation scoping process, provide on-site training and then have those same individuals service and maintain your ECI solution.

Technology. ECI is committed to partnering with client-side, or third-party systems that require data to be exchanged with Empower, our HR/Payroll management system. That is why we define these projects early in the IM process, and create and test interfaces between peripheral systems to ensure that all needs are met on the defined live date.

Information. ECI will implement all required information into our Empower system with little client involvement. We assist our clients in gathering data in an electronic file in a specified format and then we build the appropriate tables, import the data, and provide our clients with immediate access to view and verify the data integrity. Further, ECI will parallel test calculations, file transfers and two payrolls prior to the live date to ensure that all information is 100 percent accurate.

Efficiencies. Current processes can be hampered by legacy technology, or even defined by it. ECI's IM services allow processes to become automated within Empower to create the opportunity to rethink the status quo, using new, more efficient ways of conducting business.

A Value-Added Approach to Implementation

Our eight-step IM process is an intuitive approach to delivering a successful HRMS project.

Step 1

Initial Sales Analysis allows your Account Manager to conduct an intuitive analysis of your current and future needs. Information gathered serves as a guide to develop client expectations and the initial proposal.

Step 2

Agreement to the Scope of the Project allows for review of the initial proposal, followed by a commitment to a formal "scoping" process to ensure that ECI may assess the IM environment.

Step 3

Project-Managed Scoping Process allows an ECI Project Manager to guide your organization through an in-depth, four-part analysis:

A. People

Analysis of users will include their role in the Empower system as it pertains to informational, reporting, security setup and training needs.

B. Processes

We determine current processes and analyze how the Empower system can best be used to ensure that you will get the most out of this new system.

C. Third-Party Systems/Providers

We outline the initial capture and implementation of company and employee information, develop a data flow of interfaces with peripheral systems and gather information and processes for third-party vendors.

D. Technology

ECI examines current systems and technical platforms to ensure usability, compatibility and stability of the Empower system.

Step 4

Final Proposal is developed and presented after the scoping process is complete.

This proposal includes processing and implementation fees, a management report that articulates the scoping process outcome, as well as a first draft of your customized project plan.

Step 5

Implementation begins, based on the parameters of the mutually agreed upon project plan. Weekly update meetings will be conducted and progress will be logged through your project plan.

Step 6

Parallel runs and testing of payroll, file transfers and other calculations and system customizations take place for a period of time before the live date to ensure a clean transition to our services.

Step 7

Training consists of a custom plan that is developed based on the needs and proximity of your end users. On-site, Web and other methods are employed to ensure that all users receive the right amount of training at the right time.

Step 8

Roll-out involves the communication and marketing of ECI's solutions to all of your users. We'll assist you with sample checks, instructions and other materials to gain an enthusiastic acceptance of the value-added changes in service.
